DESIGN PROCESS

We understand each project is unique and offer tailored design packages to suit your design brief. To help you understand what we do, we have outlined a typical design process.

INITIAL CONSULTATION - let’s talk

This is our opportunity to get to know you, your business, your expectations and what you would like to achieve within your space.  Following the initial consultation, Tyack & Co will provide you with a detailed proposal outlining the brief, scope of work and design fees associated with the project.

THE DESIGN STAGE - let the fun begin

Space planning - based on your brief and our design expertise, a proposed layout plan will be developed for approval. No matter the scale of the project this is an integral part of the design process.

Concept design - integrating existing branding or a new vision is an important step in producing a cohesive environment. Concept design is where the creative direction is determined and a style and identity is achieved. Attention to detail is key to the selection of appropriate materials and finishes, ensuring they reflect the desired outcome. Styling completes the delivery of the project.

THE VISUAL STAGE - let it come to life

It's one thing to envisage your design off the paper, however seeing a 3D perspective of your space come to life provides you with the opportunity to understand how the space works and how it will look.

3D images of critical elements of the project are created with the aid of computer generated processes and include the proposed selections, giving a realistic impression of the outcome, allowing you a sneak peak before construction commences. Physical samples are provided for approval allowing the client to feel the products texture, see the true colour and quality.

DOCUMENTATION - let us design the detail

Having accurate information on the working drawings is critical to ensure what has been designed is what is delivered on the ground. Tyack & Co take pride in preparing quality, detailed documentation to ensure all relevant BCA codes, Australian Standard and Disability Compliance Standards are met to ensure all contractors and tradesman have sufficient information to complete the job on time and on budget. Documentation is produced for tender and construction.

Documentation includes but is not limited to; floor plans, reflected ceiling plans, floor finishes plans, services plans, elevations, sections, joinery and signage details.
